SETS Training Courses You Need to Know: AI, Digital Collaboration, and Impact Management

As the demand for green and digital skills grows across Europe, the SETS (Social Economy Transition Skills) project is stepping up to offer high-quality training designed specifically for Social Economy Organisations (SEOs). At the heart of the project are three standout courses, each designed to address specific skill gaps and promote inclusive, sustainable innovation.

1. Artificial Intelligence – Risks and Opportunities for SEO Managers
This course is tailored for SEO managers who are eager to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into their operations responsibly. Participants are introduced to core AI concepts such as machine learning, natural language processing, and supervised/unsupervised learning. The programme doesn’t just explain the technology—it also explores its ethical, environmental, and societal implications. Learners examine case studies, engage in scenario-based learning, and walk away with practical tools for ethical AI integration. Delivered through micro-videos and expert-led workshops, the course ends with a certification aligned with EQF Level 4.

2. Communicating and Collaborating in Digital Environments
Geared toward employees and jobseekers in the social economy, this course focuses on enhancing digital collaboration and communication skills. It covers everything from building a professional online presence and using digital marketing tools to mastering project management platforms like Trello or Asana. The curriculum includes GDPR compliance, inclusive design, and strategies for managing digital wellbeing. With a mix of asynchronous modules and interactive webinars, this course helps learners adapt to the digital workplace and strengthen team dynamics.

3. Understanding the Social Economy and Managing Impact
This foundational course is for service providers and professionals new to the social economy. It introduces key concepts like social entrepreneurship, impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, and hybrid business models. Learners gain practical skills in using frameworks such as Theory of Change and Social Return on Investment (SROI). The course emphasizes the dual mission of SEOs—balancing social impact with economic sustainability—and offers tools to measure and communicate impact effectively.

Each course is designed using a blended learning model supported by the SPARKS e-learning platform. Learners receive a digital credential upon completion, helping them build recognized competencies while contributing to Europe’s twin transition.
