The SETS project is pioneering a new approach to adult learning in the social economy. At its core lies a comprehensive, collaborative, and evidence-based training system that responds directly to the evolving challenges of digitalisation and sustainability.
The project’s foundation is built on an in-depth analysis of skill gaps in SEOs across Europe. This analysis informs the development of modular training programmes that are relevant, flexible, and easy to scale. SETS’ three flagship training courses—Artificial Intelligence, Digital Communication and Collaboration, and Social Economy and Impact Management—are tailored to different target groups: managers, employees, and service providers within the social economy.
Each course blends asynchronous online learning (micro-video lectures, readings, quizzes) with synchronous sessions (interactive workshops and Q&A forums). Participants engage in scenario simulations, case study analyses, and tool-based practical exercises. The result is a dynamic learning experience that accommodates a range of skill levels and learning preferences.
Importantly, SETS incorporates European frameworks such as DigComp, EntreComp, and GreenComp into its training design. This alignment ensures that learners gain certifications with EU-level recognition, enhancing their employability and career mobility.
Pilots conducted in France and Slovenia demonstrated strong outcomes. Participants reported improvements in digital literacy, increased confidence in technology use, enhanced organisational practices, and more precise understanding of social impact measurement.
SETS is more than training—it’s a community. The platform fosters peer learning, feedback exchange, and collaboration across countries and sectors. Its real-time impact monitoring tools not only ensure transparency and accountability but also help guide strategic decisions for future learning pathways.
