SETS provides more than training modules, it’s a blueprint for preparing the European social economy for the future.
By aligning upskilling efforts with EU priorities like the Green Deal, the Digital Decade, and the Pact for Skills, SETS ensures its training programmes have both immediate and long-term relevance.
What makes SETS scalable is its ecosystemic approach. Training modules are co-created with SEOs, validated through pilot testing, and backed by real-time data. This participatory model ensures local adaptation while maintaining Europe-wide consistency.
European Qualification Framework (EQF)
Furthermore, SETS’ certification system aligns with the European Qualification Framework (EQF), providing an additional level of scalability.
Created in 2008 by the EU, the EQF is a European learning framework for all qualifications. It serves as a translation tool between different national qualifications, helping to improve transparency and comparability. This makes it possible to compare qualifications from different countries and institutions.
The EQF covers all types and levels of qualifications. Its use of learning outcomes clearly outlines what was achieved during the training programme. Using a scale from 1 to 8, and linked to national qualification frameworks, it offers a comprehensive map of qualifications in Europe — increasingly accessible through online databases.
It allows learners to receive recognised digital credentials, enhancing their employability and cross-border mobility.
Parternships
Partnership is also key. SETS brings together actors from policy, education, civil society, and technology, creating synergies that accelerate impact. Whether through the SPARKS e-learning platform or the interactive dashboard, every tool in the SETS ecosystem is designed for replication and growth.
As the social economy continues to evolve, SETS is laying the skills foundation it needs to thrive.
