What We Learned from SETS Pilots in France and Slovenia: Impact and Insights

SETS conducted pilot trainings in France and Slovenia to test the applicability and relevance of its course modules for different target groups within the social economy. These pilots offered key insights into the practical implementation of the SETS learning model.

Participants in both countries rated the blended learning approach highly, praising the accessibility of asynchronous content and the value of live, scenario-based workshops. Learners highlighted the practicality of the tools presented—such as impact assessment frameworks and digital collaboration platforms—and how quickly these could be integrated into daily operations.

One standout success was the AI course for SEO managers, where participants gained hands-on knowledge about ethical implementation and use cases like grant writing and automation. Similarly, jobseekers and staff reported greater confidence in using digital communication tools after taking the Communication & Collaboration course.

Feedback also pointed to areas for improvement: some participants expressed the need for even more country-specific case studies and examples. This input has informed SETS’ roadmap for localisation and future iteration.

The pilot results demonstrate that SETS not only delivers measurable learning outcomes but also catalyses organisational transformation. These insights are being incorporated into policy recommendations and scaling strategies at the EU level.
